Accessibility Statement

The Fachschaftsrat Informatik of the TUD Dresden University of Technology would like to make its website at ese.ifsr.de and the events of the first semester introduction week ("ESE" for short) accessible. There are people on our team who are trained to deal with these requirements and we will find a solution or provide you with further relevant information to make it possible for you to participate.

This statement was created on 09/17/2023 and last updated on 09/17/2023. The basis for the creation of this accessibility statement is a quick review by an external expert with a visual impairment.

Current state of accessibility

This website is not compliant with the requirements of the Barrierefreie-Websites-Gesetz in conjunction with BITV 2.0.

We have currently documented the following barriers:

Some navigation elements are not labelled.
Some graphics have no or insufficient alternative texts.
Headings are not arranged correctly.
Some buttons are too small and difficult to use.
Some elements are not recognisable as interactive elements.
Some interactive elements have the wrong role.
Keyboard operation is not fully possible and language can only be changed via pointer control.
Not all elements have focus indicators. In some cases, only a very weak contrast is available for existing elements.
The page exists only with white text on a black background.
In some cases, there is no language tagging of content sections.
Content is not available in easy language or sign language.

Unfortunately, the existence of further barriers on the website cannot be ruled out.

We are working on resolving the barriers and hope to permanently improve the situation in the future with a new version of the software used.
