That's it. Feedback

Check-in Scavenger hunt

Winners are chosen

We have modified the evaluation of the scavenger hunt a little bit, because unfortunately not everyone found a tutor in time to participate. Therefore there are now three different categories to compensate:

  • Best group compared to others (scores of stations scaled to a range between 0 and 1 and then the average of all stations completed),
  • Group with the most completed stations,
  • and the group with the most creative group name

This results in the following groups of winners 🎉

  • Die Semmelknödel
  • Kurve J
  • nicht Team Rocket

We have already informed the winning groups by mail. But you are welcome to spread the information in other channels, so that it reaches the hikers as well. Thanks :)

The award ceremony will take place today (Wednesday) at 7 pm!

Technical test in advance

Please check the tool here. Make sure, that you can navigate along the map, that your microphone is working and you can see the chat. For the best experience also turn on your webcam. 👌

Most common browsers should work, use Google Chrome if you have problems. On mobile devices the chat usually does not work and some stations are not well usable on mobile because a keyboard is required. Tablets with a Bluetooth keyboard might work. Otherwise you might not be able to join some stations.

Introduction

The Campus Scavenger Hunt takes place annually at ESE to give you freshman students an overview of the campus. 👀 In order to show you the most important places of your computer science studies, you will "hustle" digitally over the campus this year. Typical for the campus scavenger hunt, you will have to solve small, study-related tasks at the important places to get points.

The three groups, which have the most points after going through all stations, will win. The needed time is not important.

Procedure

Log in to gather.town, give yourself a good nickname and meet in groups in one of the colored areas on the parking lot. There will be a tutor waiting for you to pick up your e-mail addresses (so we can contact you for the award ceremony). You may also choose a group name. After that, you will be instructed about your first stop.

Now you have to find the way to the starting station. As soon as the station task is solved, your points will be filled in the scoreboard. Then continue to the next station. The scoreboard tells you the next station. Please always take the station, which is shown in the next column next to your station. At the end of the table, you return to the first one.

To Scoreboard

When all stations are finished, you are ready and can wait for the award ceremony. Please log out from gather.town (close the browser tab).

Award ceremony

The members of the best three groups will then be notified by email. The award ceremony will take place on Wednesday, at 7 pm in the our Streaming Studio. If you are unable to attend, you can join the livestream via Big Blue Button. The winners can then choose great prizes.
